🚨The training for JANUARY is Understanding and Fighting Basement Fires.

"Don't Get Caught in the Flow Path"

Are You Ready for the Most Dangerous House Fire?

We are launching a new online training: Modern Tactics for Basement Fires. Based on the latest research from the Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), this course updates our tactics with hard facts.

The Facts
  • 71% of firefighter deaths at house fires happen on scene.

  • Basement fires turn stairs into high-speed chimneys (up to 20 mph).

  • You cannot outrun the heat—but you can prevent it.

What You Will Learn
  • Avoid "Death's Door": Why standing at the top of the stairs is deadly.

  • Soften the Target: How to cool the fire from outside first (without hurting victims).

  • The 360 Size-Up: Find the safest way in (walk-out doors vs. windows).

  • No Door? No Problem: How to use nozzles through the floor.

  • Flow and Move: The safe way to go down stairs if you have to.

Who Needs This?
  • All interior firefighters.

  • Officers and Commanders.
